European Market Expansion with a Spanish Focus

HKSTP partnered with betahausX to drive market exposure and startup matchmaking for its Hong Kong delegation at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025. Working under tight time constraints, betahausX delivered a rapid, high-performing outreach and promotional campaign across LinkedIn, email, and direct messaging.

Challenges

With just two weeks to activate a high-impact campaign, our mission was to:

  • Facilitate strategic meetings for the HK startup delegation
  • Promote the HK Tech Pavilion and HK Tech Disrupt event (March 3)
  • Maximize attendance and applications through targeted outreach across Europe, with a focus on Spain

Outcomes

Tactics deployed included:

  • A mix of push (organic social) and pull (direct 1:1) outreach strategies
  • Custom content calendars and tracking links to optimize engagement
  • Direct support for key guests via video calls, texts, and personal invitations
  • Outreach to targeted delegations from Italy, Basque Country, and Berlin

We focused on quality connections with accelerators, startup founders, innovation hubs, and ecosystem partners in Spain and the EU.

The Results

Despite a minimal lead time, the campaign dramatically outperformed all KPIs:

*Venue reached full capacity; ~20+ attendees were turned away at the door

High-Level Meetings Secured:
6 meetings were arranged with strategic partners and innovation leaders including Beaz Bizkaia, LetsLaw, BerriUp, Tetuan Valley, and Saint Clair Advisory — exceeding the original target of 3.
